Staff
Our staff is comprised of Early Childhood Educators who are experienced in their field. These talented professionals have a special interest in children from birth to age five. The Educational Background at DCPC varies with a variety of different experiences including Master’s in Early Childhood Education, Child Development and Elementary Certification. The loving attitudes of our Preschool teachers and staff are reflected in their daily approach to each individual child.

Kristin Clark
Director
Kristin has worked in early childhood education for over 27 years, 15 have been at DCPC. She attended Texas Tech University and after helped write & coordinate curriculum for many early childhood centers in Texas. Kristin loves DCPC because each child is celebrated for their unique gifts from God.

Denise Binkley
Office Manager
Denise has worked at DCPC since 2002. She has also taught in various classrooms and is the current preschool office manager. Denise loves being a part of DCPC where children are learning and growing and she in return learns from them.

Marilyn Edmondson
Preschool Teacher
Marilyn has been in early childhood education for 30 years, nineteen of which have been at DCPC. She enjoys teaching the children with Mrs. Shaw in the Bonjour Science Enrichment program.

Lee Kiley
Preschool Teacher
Lee earned a B.A. and M.A.T. in Early Childhood Education from Jacksonville University and has been at DCPC since 2009 as the TK teacher. Lee loves that the children and teachers share experiences and knowledge, to foster their love of learning, and to grow in Christ together.

Clair Fitzgerald
Preschool Teacher
Clair moved to America 24 years ago from Leicester England and has worked in childhood education for the past 14 years. She loves working at DCPC with a great group of woman who love education and teaching children.

Kim Nickell
Preschool Teacher
Kim Earned a B.S degree from Boston University in Elementary Education and has been a teacher for 36 years. Kim loves DCPC because she is part of a teaching community that cherishes, nurtures and challenges children.

Kelly Ryan
Preschool Teacher
Kelly earned a BS degree from the University of Scranton in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Language Arts from William Paterson University. She and her husband Dan have two daughters, Grace and Fiona. Kelly taught third and fourth grade and is now excited to join the team at DCPC.

Holly Pritchard
Preschool Teacher
Holly started teaching at DCPC in 2018 after having many wonderful experiences as a substitute teacher while her children were enrolled in the program. She attended college at Duke and graduate school at Wake Forest and earned her bachelor and masters degrees in economics and finance. She and her husband live in Huntersville with their three children. She loves working at the preschool and getting to see the world through the eyes of her students each day.

Dawn Craddock
Preschool Teacher
Dawn is a native of NC and attended UNC Chapel Hill where she earned a BA and a M.ED in Early Childhood Education. She taught grades K – 5 for many years before teaching a TK class for ten years. She and her husband Steve have two children; Emily and Russ as well as two granddaughters. Dawn loves to inspire children through the Super Science Program and strives to help them grow and learn and be happy in school.

Faith Tighe
Preschool Teacher
Faith graduated from Bryant & Stratton College and has lived in the Charlotte area for 20 years. She was a nanny for one family for a decade before she and her husband, Alan welcomed their own children, Davis and Catherine. Faith has been a preschool teacher for the last 6 years in the Charlotte/Davidson area and has such a passion working with children. Faith was grateful to join the DCPC family in 2018 because she loves teaching in an environment that is so nurturing and enriches each child’s spirit.

Megan May
Preschool Teacher
Megan earned a B.A. in French from Davidson College. She served on the preschool board while her three children were at the preschool and was thrilled to join the staff in 2019 once the youngest had graduated. Megan is blessed to be a part of a school that fosters exploration, a love of community, and the nurturing of individuals during the pivotal early childhood years.

Pamela Otatti
Preschool Teacher
Pamela grew up in Virginia and attended college at VCU. She came to Davidson ten years ago and has taught preschool for 25 years. Pamela loves working at DCPC because of the supportive administration, the focus on what is best for preschoolers, and the joy of working with wonderful children.

Marlea Akins
Preschool Teacher
Marlea attended St. Mary’s and UNCW. She began substitute teaching in 2013 and teaching in 2014. Marlea loves the opportunity to watch the children thrive and grow every single day in such a nurturing and caring environment.

Laura Shah
Preschool Teacher
Laura was a pastry chef for 17 years before becoming a stay at home mom. She started substitute teaching for DCPC in 2016 and began teaching full time in 2017. Laura loves working with the children who attend DCPC and enjoys the loving, play-based environment.

Keri Nolan
Preschool Teacher
Originally from New York, Keri has enjoyed expanding her professional development in early childhood. She worked in medical sales for 13 years before joining the DCPC family. Keri loves working at DCPC preschool because it is a magical place filled with love, learning, excitement and faith.

Amanda Cooper
Preschool Teacher
Amanda moved from England to the United States 20 years ago after a career in accounting and teaching horseback riding. She assisted in a Kindergarten classroom where she discovered her love for teaching and has been teaching two year olds for nearly 15 years at DCPC.

Jennifer Swart
Preschool Teacher
Jenn earned a Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Florida State in 1996. She was first a DCPC parent in 2014 when her son, Pieter, joined the four’s class and began teaching in 2017. She loves working with an amazing staff and watching the children blossom with all the experiences offered at DCPC.

Jennifer Slosson
Preschool Teacher
Jennifer attended Chapel Hill and College of Charleston earning a MAT in Elementary Education. She has taught at DCPC for two years. Jennifer loves DCPC because it provided a loving environment for her children as preschoolers. As a new parent DCPC proved to be a wonderful support system and as a teacher she is happy to be a part of that community.

Elena Williams
Preschool Teacher
Elena studied Elementary Education at Jacksonville State University. She began as a substitute teacher and served on the preschool committee. Elena is now a staff teacher and enjoys working with small children where she can help foster self esteem through the play-based curriculum.

Whitney Storey
Preschool Teacher
Whitney earned her degree in Physical Education for elementary school children. She is delighted that she is with the little ones at the very start of their educational journey. She has been with DCPC for 7 years and enjoys inspiring children through music and art.

Laura Nottingham
Preschool Teacher
Laura earned a MAT in Elementary Education at Queens. She worked in pediatric research for three years and she also taught elementary school for eight years. After spending some time as a stay at home mom, Laura started working at DCPC as a substitute teacher in 2018 and a classroom teacher in 2019. Laura loves working at DCPC because of the strong sense of community that it fosters for children and their families, as well as for the staff.

Bill Edmondson
Crossing Guard
Retired pharmacist and senior executive at Glaxo Pharmaceuticals, Dr. William Edmondson or “Mr. Bill”, as he is fondly known, has served as DCPC’s crossing guard for the last two years. Ensuring the safety and well being of our children and parents is one of Mr. Bill’s greatest joys, along with seeing their smiles at his never ending hat creations.
